Management of hazardous substances
Capella constantly monitors the various international regulations such as EU REACH regulations, RoHS (2011/65/EU) implementation and SONY Green Partner, and builds up the management system to continually comply with green environmental initiatives. In addition, Capella requests that all outsourcing vendors to be aware and make updates with new revisions to such compliances.
Restriction of Hazardous Substances, RoHS
In order to reduce the environmental impact of hazardous substances, EU announced RoHS directive in 2003 and it came into effect in July of 2007. It restricts the use of Hg, Pb, Cd, Cr 6+, PBBs, PBDEs in electrical and electronic appliances sold in the EU. Capella’s IC has been RoHS compliant.
REACH substance of very high concern and hazardous substance management
Since the establishment of RoHS, an EU enacted REACH regulation for material and finished good selling into EU, Capella and its suppliers work together to ensure that all its products are REACH compliant.
