Long Distance Proximity Sensor (LDPS)
Capella's Long Distance Proximity Sensor (LDPS) is an integrated solution of a long distance detector and an ambient light sensor. It incorporates photodiodes, amplifiers, and analog/digital circuits into a single chip by a CMOS process. Adoption of Capella’s patented Filtron™ technology allows the closest ambient light spectral sensitivity to human eye responses and matching of the proximity response to the discrete or integrated Infrared LED. The sensors offer excellent temperature compensation keeping the output stable over temperature. It provides an I2C interface and the ALS has linear response over the entire lux range and high sensitivity in low light conditions and under dark glass. Capella offers fully integrated packages of LDPS and IR LED in one package, or provides engineers the flexibility to choose the IR LED separately with choice of LDPS.
